ABOUT LAST WEEK IN SAN FRANCISCO

FRĒDA PRESENTS: THE MOTHER DAZE + BROAD IDEAS COMMUNITY + CONNECTION EVENT

(AKA THE MOST SPECIAL DAY EVER)

If we could bottle this day and relive it over and over again–we would. To say we had the best, most special day ever is merely an understatement. Last week, we hosted our first “FRĒDA Presents: The Mother Daze + Broad Idea Community and Connection Event” with Sarah Wright Olsen, Teresa Palmer, Rachel Bilson and Olivia Allen. There were laughs, there were tears, smiles, hugs, honesty, connection, intentions made, and personal stories shared. We left feeling like we were best friends with every person in the room. It touched our hearts beyond what we could have imagined and truly represented who we are and why we do what we do: build community from the ground up.

We were so excited to see so many of you there! We were overwhelmed with happiness that you took the time, so a special thanks for being the best and coming to hang. And for those who couldn’t make it or aren’t based in San Francisco, we wanted to share some of the day’s highlights so you can live it too.

HERE’S THE RUNDOWN OF OUR DAY

We kicked things off with a few introductions of our hosts. For those who didn’t know, FRĒDA Women and all-around excellent humans, Sarah Wright Olsen and Teresa Palmer host a podcast called “The Mother Daze.” It’s all about the wild and wonderful days of motherhood and a favorite of ours. Our other friends, Rachel Bilson and Olivia Allen host a podcast called “Broad Ideas” which is like a live casual conversation about the same broad topics you'd find yourself discussing with your girlfriends.

Next up, Olivia kindly guided us through a meditation to clear the brain before we got to manifesting and writing down and sharing our self-limiting beliefs with Teresa.

“Sometimes self-limiting beliefs can pop up as a sort of defense mechanism to avoid possible disappointment and expectations not met. It’s very normal to have this self-critical voice but these judgments infiltrate our ability to call in our dreams so we must start to liberate ourselves from their grasp. Everyone experiences self-doubt so we must be easy on ourselves but we can only manifest from an empowered place. A YES AND mentality.” - Teresa Palmer

It was incredible to be so honest with a group of like-minded women about what we hold ourselves back with every day. Rachel then took the stage to talk about “Rewriting the Narrative,” by thinking of all the things we love about ourselves or how others see us.

“Create positive affirmations that counteract our negative inner voice, acknowledging the beauty within us, our skills and our contributions to those around us. This sets us up to manifest from a high vibrational and abundant headspace.” - Rachel Bilson

The love at this point in the room was palpable. It felt very raw and impactful like every person in the room was connected in a special way. Then Sarah took us through Manifesting.

“We need to stay open to all possibilities, without the grip of desire, or a lack mentality taking over us, when we manifest from a place of fullness and contentment for what we already have, that’s when we see the real magic take form.” - Sarah Wright Olsen

Olivia encouraged everyone to envision their desires as already achieved by stating “I am”.

For example:

“I am living in a home with big bright windows.”

“I am traveling the world with my partner.”

Then things got FUNNY. The sex talk was on, we were in tears from laughing and our stomachs were happily sore from the constant vibrations. Speaking of vibrations, three of our guests took home a surprise vibrator :)

The day closed with sips from our favorite wine, Sophie James, and a roomful of new connections made.

IT WAS GUARANTEED GOOD TIMES, IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER.

GUESS WHAT?

WE’RE DOING IT AGAIN.

It was so special, we have to bring it to more communities! Keep a lookout for future dates this fall so you can join in on the fun too.

We also wanted to extend a very special thank you to everyone who made it happen!  Especially the beautiful 1 Hotel San Francisco.
