Spring 2019 has arrived and we could not be happier! We designed spring to ease you into your everyday and carry you to places near and far. We are so excited to share the inspiration behind this collection. We hope you love it as much as we do! 

The SLOAN + IVY 

We designed the SLOAN + IVY because we wanted to introduce a more feminine option to our 'statement' flats category. We love the pointed toe and the flexibility she gives our wardrobe.  These are definitely the shoes we'd pull out to wear with a killer work look or to dress up jeans.  The SLOAN + IVY are FREDA's version of ballet flats...they are just a little more bad ass.

 

 

The PENNY (coming soon) 

The PENNY is truly the essence of FREDA in sandal form, because we basically deconstructed our favorite style of shoe (the loafer) to make it more spring/summer.  We added a hand whipped stitch detail to the penny loafer lines, which gives this sandal such an artisanal and luxurious edge.  There is a lot of ankle detail happening for SS19, so the whipstitched ankle strap is such a cool way to play into that trend.  Just like a traditional penny loafer effortlessly becomes an everyday staple, the PENNY is now your everyday sandal.  

 

 

The PIA

The PIA is our answer to "what can I throw on in two seconds and look highly polished, cool, confident, and pretty?" shoe. She comes in very special leathers, like vanilla and black croc and we selected an angled wood (mid) heel, so she's both beautiful and functional.  A little lift, but you are still pounding the pavement to dominate your day.  We showed these sandals with jeans (because we live in them) but they look so cool with dresses, cargo pants, trousers etc. 

 

 

The IRIS + IRENE

Color blocked strappy sandals.  Such a simple design made exceptional by mixing complimentary leather colors and exotic prints.   These sandals are so easy to wear, but they hold their own in terms of making a statement.  The IRIS has our signature stud detail at the toe and the IRENE has a block mid-heel.  Both can lean towards dressy or casual, making them a super versatile sandal.

 

The MURPHEY

Who are we kidding, mules have been a favorite of ours ever since we launched the KEEN.  They take about a second to put on and they make us feel very polished and put together. And they are COMFORTABLE.  We designed the MURPHEY to be a less structured sister to the KEEN.  She doesn't have a welt or a band, so she is very clean, light and pretty. Our ideal summer run around.  The silhouette is simple, so we are offering it in silver metallic; neutral but fun.
