THE MAKING OF THE LEFTOVER LEATHER COLLECTION
RENEW. REPURPOSE. REIMAGINE.
As we rediscover and renew, we look for ways to make the old anew.
We started the year with a commitment to be as zero waste as possible, which starts with using the leather we have on hand from previous seasons. Repurposing something old and making it new again. We worked with our family-run factory to take the beautiful leathers we had on hand and reimagined them into our most-loved styles. Here’s your inside look at the process from the ground up.

IT STARTS IN MILAN
Two times a year we travel to Milan to meet with our Italian and Spanish leather providers. It takes 9-12 months to develop new styles, so we want to pre-position leather early so we have it on hand to produce each collection.
INSIDE OUR FACTORIES
After the season ends, our factory takes inventory of what leather we have on hand. The Leftover Leather Collection was created during this process. With our commitment to being as zero-waste as possible, we repurposed these leathers into new limited-edition drops. We enjoyed this innovation so much, this is only the beginning! We have so many beautiful leathers and fun ideas to share in future collections.
LEATHER WORKING GROUP CERTIFIED
We are proud to source all of our leather from Leather Working Group Certified Tanneries, an organization that audits for environmental and sustainable qualities.
NOTE FROM THE DESIGNERS:
“Because our footwear and accessories collections are handmade in small family factories, our lead time to develop a collection is 9-12 months. From initial designs to developing patterns, lasts, heels, and ordering leather. It is truly slow fashion. In an effort to stay on the calendar for delivery, we pre-position our materials from our Italian tanneries which means at times we have leftover leather. To make good on our commitment to being as zero waste as possible we are so thrilled to launch our first Leftover Leather Collection, where we work with materials on hand to develop them into new, limited-edition styles.”
