THE BEST (CURATED BY US) OCTOBER 2024

THE BEST FEELINGS OF FALL

As we wait for the crisp fall days to come, we’re craving all the things that feel like fall. Pumpkin treats, quilted jackets, cuddling up on the couch with a new read–you name it, we’re doing it as an act to manifest perfect fall weather in the coming weeks. So in celebration of one of our favorite seasons, here’s our curated list of the best feelings of fall.

THE BEST SHOPPING

Fall fashion is still happening and we’re here for all of it. One-of-a-kind feels are top of mind this month as we shop vintage, our latest collaboration and upcycled quilted jackets.

VINTAGE FINDS

Our search for vintage pieces is an endless journey and we couldn’t be more excited than when we stumble upon a new curated collection. Reborn Archive is a vintage designer clothing store specializing in finding rare pieces from the 1990s to the 2000s. Think: cool Anna Sui skirts, Prada Mary Janes, Carolyn Bassette-inspired knit dresses and so much more.

UNIQUE COLLABORATIONS (BY US!)

We are so beyond proud of this, we want to share it over and over again. In our partnership with Creative Growth and their Beyond Trend Fashion Program which inspires inclusive fashion, they tapped several artists to reimagine FRĒDA shoes–creating one-of-a-kind pieces. It’s a project near and dear to our hearts and think it’s the perfect wardrobe refresh from the ground up.

QUILTED COOL

Quilted everything is everywhere and we are obsessed. Founded by Willa Blank, Blank Supply is an NYC-based brand committed to honoring the art of handmade. The materials are hand-selected. The binding, embroidery and quilting are all hand-sewn. The home goods are all hand-picked too. We love how each piece tells a story and are eyeing the quilts as an update to our homes.

THE BEST READS

Get your cozy clothes on, light a candle and snuggle up on your couch–our top reads are here.

FEEL SOMETHING DESIGN

Fall always gives us the itch to hit refresh on our home. In this conversation with the Iranian-French designer and architect India Mahdavi, she details how she brought joy and humor back to design. Through her clear vision that design should make you feel something, she tells you how to play with color, shapes, and psychology to make a space sing.

THE PAGE TURNER

Fresh on the shelves is Jami Attenberg’s latest novel, “A Reason To See You Again.” We’ve loved a couple of her previous releases, so we’re excited to spend rainy days under the covers with this story of a 40-year family journey. Motherhood, the American workforce, the tech industry, the self-help movement, inherited trauma, the ever-evolving ways we communicate with one another, and the many unexpected forms that love can take–it’s got a taste of everything.

GET READY TO PARTY

We’ll be the first to say it: the holidays are just around the corner. And that means parties. Lots of them. In this recap of fashion week, writer Simbarashe Cha dives into the mature street style spotted in London. If anything, it’s fresh inspiration for elegant fashion once the invites come rolling in.

THE BEST ENTERTAINMENT

Fall means all the comfort food and it has us wanting to host a dinner party serving only pumpkin bread and turmeric lattes.

PUMPKIN EVERYTHING

We know it isn’t all that original, but what tastes better than pumpkin bread? We’ve been baking this NYTimes recipe at the start of the season for the past few years and it really is exceptional. Just moist enough. Just pumpkin-y enough. Just right.

CAFFEINE KICK

Skip the pumpkin spice latte for fashion/food influencer Maryah Ananda’s cardamom turmeric recipe. It’s like a cup of cozy with cardamom, turmeric, dark chocolate and other warm spices. We gave it a try the other day and haven’t woken up without craving it yet.

TABLESCAPE EDIT

Tablescaping has been all over our Instagram feed as of late, and it has us planning our next get-together. Net-a-Porter details the current tastemaking table trends in this quick read, but what we loved most were the cool follows linked within for all the inspiration you could need to set a magical table this fall.
