The modern square toe ballet flat. Made by hand with umber velvet, the JADA has a cool square toe and low-profile construction. Both dressy and functional, we love this style with jeans and a blazer or an evening maxi dress.
Our shoes are made from the highest quality fabrics which will last season after season.
- 100% Italian silky velvet in umber.
- 100% Spanish leather lined. This tannery is a Leather Working Group Approved Trader.
- Padded leather footbed.
- 0.25" rubber heel and sueded leather sole.
- In an effort to be less wasteful and keep your shoes looking good, we applied a thin film to the sole. Please remove and recycle prior to making these yours. If you plan to return, please ensure film is intact.
This material may feel snug when you first put them on. This is normal as they begin to soften and form to your foot. Before you know it, they will become your everyday favorite.

Velvet is a type of woven tufted fabric in which the cut threads are evenly distributed, with a short, dense pile, giving it a distinctive soft feel. We recommend protecting velvet shoes with a water and stain guard. Please test the stain guard on a small section of your shoes before you treat the whole pair. Velvet should be kept away from rain and moisture as best you can. If a shoe gets wet, soak up the moisture as soon as possible with a clean towel and allow it to air dry. Everyday wear and excessive abrasions can remove the velvet in areas, so please wear carefully.
To clean, spot clean the affected area with a mild detergent and water mixture. Do this on the stain first, then the whole shoe and repeat on the other shoe to ensure both look the same after air drying. Velvet should also be kept out of direct sunlight for long periods of time, as it is especially prone to fade. We recommend cleaning periodically or as needed to keep your FRĒDAs looking brand new.

The JADA is handmade at our family-owned factory in the traditional footwear town of Elda, Spain. Our leather is sourced from the finest tanneries across Italy. Each upper is cut, sewn and lasted by Spanish artisans who are experts in their craft.

These are definitely an investment, and I am SO happy I got them! Since they are pricey, I read tons of reviews to make sure they would fit me well. I have wide feet, and I ultimately stayed with my usual size (8.5) - after breaking them in for about 2 wears (I wore them with socks around the house), they fit amazing! The back of these flats were a little high for me, so they did dig into the back of my heels for a bit, but the leather softens beautifully, and it wasn't an issue after a while. In my research, I read that if you are in between sizes due to the length of your feet, then you should go a size up, as the flats only stretches in width not in length. I also read that the silver flats does not stretch out as much as the neutral ones (but not sure whether that was true). For me, I'm glad I went with my usual size, as I feel like the flats would slip off my heels if I went a size up. Hope this is helpful for others deciding which size to go with! For extra reference, I also have a pair of Eda Sneaker and I went with my usual size as well.

This leather is divine. Color is saturated and beautiful. Great fit 9.5 my usual size. Comfy from day 1. This shoe is the perfect pop for any outfit. Love the square toe. It may be the only red you’ll need in your wardrobe. Get them!!

Love the woven soft leather design of these flats making them standout from other ballet flats. They have a cushioned sole, extremely comfortable unlike some other flats I own. Fits true to size and no break-in period, comfortable out of the box!

Beautifully made shoe with the right texture is comfortable and adds a pop to my wardrobe. The color isn't as bright as pictured but in reality the more muted red will probably be better, a more subtle pop!
