Classic and endlessly comfortable–our iconic penny style is known to be the most comfortable, exceptionally made and detailed loafer out there. Handcrafted in El Salvador.

Our shoes are made from the highest quality leather which will last season after season. Leather is a natural material and will give with wear.

  • 100% Italian leather in espresso suede. This tannery is rated Leather Working Group Registered. Leather Working Group is a tool to evaluate the environmental performance of leather goods manufacturers. Gold-plated metal coin in the penny keeper.
  • 100% Calf leather lined
  • Leather notched welt

The soft nature of this material should make for a seamless fit right out of the box.

The ELBA is hand-sewn in our San Salvador, El Salvador, family factory. Our Co-Founder's grandfather started manufacturing shoes 67 years ago, and our hand-sewn Moccasins are produced in a factory that her father started in the 1980s. This factory is one of the last hand-sewn moccasin factories in the world—a true testament to artisanal craftsmanship and passing down this skill from generation to generation.

    I finally found the perfect loafer after the longest search!

    I have been searching for the perfect loafer for what seems like forever and I have finally found them! I have tried so many and they either gape on the sides, are not comfortable, are too chunky, etc. I have been on the email waitlist for this leopard version and I ordered a size 10 ( I wear a 10 in the Brooke Boots and a 9.5 in the Sera Fisherman Sandals ) and these are PERFECT! Right out of the box, I wore them for a trade show where I was on my feet on cement floors for 10 hours and my feet did not complain at all! I love these - and all my Freda shoes!

    Best loafer ever!

    This was my second pair of Elba loafers I’ve purchased! The Elba is a classic shoe made with exceptional and quality materials. The quality cannot compare and I will happily purchase more shoes from Frēda Salvador for years to come.
