Classic and endlessly comfortable–our iconic penny style is known to be the most comfortable, exceptionally made and detailed loafer out there. Handcrafted in El Salvador.

Our shoes are made from the highest quality leather which will last season after season. Leather is a natural material and will give with wear.

The ELBA is hand-sewn in our San Salvador, El Salvador, family factory. Our Co-Founder's grandfather started manufacturing shoes 67 years ago, and our hand-sewn Moccasins are produced in a factory that her father started in the 1980s. This factory is one of the last hand-sewn moccasin factories in the world—a true testament to artisanal craftsmanship and passing down this skill from generation to generation.

    So stylish, and comfortable!

    After this style was released, I found myself going back to look at them online again and again. I knew I had to have them!

    I went into the NYC store to try them on, and I’m glad I did. I found that they run a bit large, so I sized down from the 9 I usually wear in Frēda Salvador footwear, including other Elba loafers, to an 8.5.

    It also seems like the brand may have changed the insole, because these feel noticeably more comfortable. It’s not that my other Elbas are uncomfortable; this style just seems to have more cushioning underfoot.

    Very comfortable, and I’m so happy I bought them!
