The classic round toe ballet flat. Made by hand with buttery-soft camel calf vegetable leather that naturally molds to your foot, the ROMA is equal parts effortless and timeless with its low-profile construction and leather lining for all-day comfort. Both dressy and functional, we love this style with jeans and a blazer or baggy trousers.
Our shoes are made from the highest quality leather which will last season after season. Leather is a natural material and will give with wear.
- 100% Italian leather in camel vegetable calf. This tannery is a Leather Working Group Silver and leather contains no PFAs. Leather Working Group is a tool to evaluate the environmental performance of leather goods manufacturers.
- 100% Spanish leather lined. This tannery is a Leather Working Group Approved Trader and leather contains no PFAs.
- 0.25" rubber heel and sueded leather sole
- In an effort to be less wasteful and keep your shoes looking good, we applied a thin film to the sole. Please remove and recycle prior to making these yours. If you plan to return, please ensure film is in tact.
The soft nature of this material should make for a seamless fit right out of the box.

Vegetable tanning is a traditional process where the cowhide is treated with plant-based tannins, so it develops a patina over time. This means shoes made in this very natural leather will develop a beautifully aged look. Keep in mind that the surface of the leather is not treated with chemicals or finishes so there may be minor variations to the leather that define their uniqueness.
To clean, use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dirt. You can apply neutral, non-lanolin wax to revive and restore leather. Do not use any leather soaps, cleaners, or conditioners with lanolin. When not in use, store your shoes in a box or dust bag. We recommend cleaning periodically or as needed to keep your FRĒDAs looking brand new.
The ROMA is handmade at our family-owned factory in the traditional footwear town of Elda, Spain. Our leather is sourced from the finest tanneries across Italy. Each upper is cut, sewn and lasted by Spanish artisans who are experts in their craft.

The shoe is beautiful and made with the FS attention to detail. However, the back rides a bit higher than my other FS flats, making it a bit less comfortable. I hope that this part of the shoe will soften with more wearings.

Love the look of the Roma flats. I haven’t walked too much in them but the cushion on the inside is great. Not a lot of arch support but still super comfy for flats.

I am thrilled with how versatile these shoes are in my wardrobe. The sole is extremely comfortable. I find the length to run TTS, but they fit a little bit wide (in my opinion). I went with my average size, and that turned out to be the best fit.
