Classic and endlessly comfortable–our iconic penny style is known to be the most comfortable, exceptionally made and detailed loafer out there. Handcrafted in El Salvador.
Our shoes are made from the highest quality leather which will last season after season. Leather is a natural material and will give with wear.
- 100% Italian leather in zebra haircalf. This tannery is rated Leather Working Group Silver. Leather Working Group is a tool to evaluate the environmental performance of leather goods manufacturers.
- Leather lined.
- Notched leather welt
- Silver coin under the penny strap.
- Because haircalf is a natural material, each pair of shoes is genuinely one of a kind and features its own pattern that may vary slightly from the photos shown.
- In an effort to be less wasteful and keep your shoes looking good, we applied a thin film to the sole. Please remove and recycle prior to making these yours. If you plan to return, please ensure film is in tact.
- Fitting true to size. If you have a wider foot or are in between sizes, we recommend half sizing up.
- Slip-on.
- ELBA is the last used for this loafer. Learn more about lasts here.
- 0.75" leather-stacked flared heel with a sueded leather sole.

The ELBA is hand-sewn in our San Salvador, El Salvador, family factory. Our Co-Founder's grandfather started manufacturing shoes 67 years ago, and our hand-sewn Moccasins are produced in a factory that her father started in the 1980s. This factory is one of the last hand-sewn moccasin factories in the world—a true testament to artisanal craftsmanship and passing down this skill from generation to generation.

These loafers are beautiful and well made. Right now they are less comfortable as they need to break in, but I really like them and I’m sure they will get softer over time

Absolutely love them! The quality is so beautiful and they are comfortable right out of the box. I am between a 9 and 9.5 and went with the 9 and they fit perfectly! I had been waiting to buy them and am so glad I pulled the trigger.

I purchased these loafers in black spazzolato leather last year, and they are still not broken in and comfortable to wear. As others have noted, these shoes are very stiff around the heels and ankle, and even wearing socks does not help. I’d expect a lot more for shoes at this price point.
