Our shoes are made from the highest quality leather which will last season after season. Leather is a natural material and will give with wear.

  • 100% Italian leather in cuoio spazzolato. This tannery is rated Leather Working Group Registered. Leather Working Group is a tool to evaluate the environmental performance of leather goods manufacturers.
  • 100% Calf leather lined
  • Notched leather welt
  • Leather sueded sole
  • 0.75" leather-stacked flared heel
  • The length of this style is running slightly long. If you are narrow or in between sizes, we recommend 1/2 sizing down.

The ELBA is hand-sewn in our San Salvador, El Salvador, family factory. Our Co-Founder's grandfather started manufacturing shoes 67 years ago, and our hand-sewn Moccasins are produced in a factory that her father started in the 1980s. This factory is one of the last hand-sewn moccasin factories in the world—a true testament to artisanal craftsmanship and passing down this skill from generation to generation.

    Hard to not wear them everyday!

    I want to wear these with everything! Filled a huge gap in my wardrobe and I can't stop pairing them with every outfit. Super comfortable. I should've gone a half size down because my feet slip out if I wear trouser socks, but they're just perfect with socks a bit thicker. Would love to see these offered as a mule!

    Beginning of an art collection.

    I have been prompted to leave a review, but have hesitated, because I have not yet worn these loafers. They fit like a brilliant dream right out of the box. But I cannot wear them, as they are simply too beautiful. Never have I owned shoes this well made; they seem twice the price. Sadly, I can only put them on a shelf, stare glassy-eyed, and imagine where I might someday go. I think I will put them in a shadowbox and hang it, with a little sign that says, "Break in case of Roman Holiday".

    Alternatively, I could buy another pair that is allowed to live the life for which it was designed. Navigating Lisbon cobblestones, New York metro lines and Austin music festivals.

    Great loafer

    I waited so long to get these and I’m so glad I finally did. I was worried about sizing but they honestly fit perfectly and I feel that I could wear them with or without a light sock, which is what I wanted. I think there is a break in period but it hasn’t been bad so far, no blisters. The sides cut into my ankle bones especially when making a turn, but the shoes already softened after even just a day so I don’t notice it anymore. They came with a shoe horn which I definitely need in order to put them on. I was slightly disappointed in the color - the hickory croc is lighter/more tan than images led me to believe. I was expecting the color to be slightly darker, more brown. I’m unsure if previous stock of the shoe was a different color. If so, I wish they called it something different because the color disappointment is real. I kept them because they are still neutral and will go with my wardrobe.
