OUR PRODUCTION
We produce small batch collections that are made by hand–always.

OUR HERITAGE
Shoemaking is in our DNA. Our co-founder, Cristina’s grandfather first started manufacturing shoes in El Salvador over 70 years ago. It was there she learned the importance of crafting a shoe by hand–the detail, skill and time it takes to make a truly beautiful style. Today, we work with the highest quality materials and family-run factories that employ artisans who keep the art and integrity of handcrafted accessories alive.

OUR FAMILY-RUN FACTORIES
Our close and long-standing relationship with our suppliers is what makes every piece special–they’re the beating heart of FRĒDA. It starts with our co-founder Cristina’s upbringing in our factory in El Salvador, continues into our Spanish factory managed by Cristina’s grandfather’s best friend and has grown into further partnerships with factories in Italy.

OUR CRAFTSMANSHIP
We believe the quality of products made by hand is unparalleled. The artisans in our family-run factories have worked with leather goods their entire lives and are experts in their fields. Using old-world techniques and slow handwork, they invest a great amount of time into every single step of the process ensuring every detail is exceptionally finished. Since all our pieces are made by hand, no two pieces are exactly the same.

OUR MATERIALS
verything we create is of the highest possible quality—from the leathers we source to the soles that are hand fit to each shoe. Sourced from Italy and Spain with a high transparency of the raw materials, we travel there two times a year to meet with them personally. We are proud to say that the majority of our leathers are sourced from Leather Working Group Certified Tanneries, an organization that audits for environmental and sustainable qualities.
