How to care for your d'Orsay sneakers

Our d'Orsay leather sneakers are iconic FRĒDA in every way. Handcrafted in Spain, these sneakers have become an instant classic in our closets for good reason; they go with everything! We do have some tips on how to care and wear your d'Orsay sneakers to keep them looking like new for longer.

BREAK IN PERIOD

We recommend you try your shoes on a clean, carpeted surface to avoid marking the soles. Once you decide your shoes are right for you, please know that leather is an organic material that uniquely molds to your feet but it may require a short break-in period.

We suggest wearing your sneakers with socks for the first few wears while they adapt to your feet. It is also our favorite styling tip, as we love d’Orsay styles with socks! Once they are broken in they are a dream and will become your everyday go-to.

HOW TO CARE

Our calf leather should last for years. To keep the leather clean, moisturized, and durable your shoes should be polished once a month. If excess dirt gets on your shoes, take a slightly damp soft cloth, paper towel, or clean makeup sponge and wipe gently. If the stain is tougher, try leather cleaner. Keep in mind, never use leather cleaner with acid or detergent as it will age the leather and shorten the lifespan of your shoes. We recommend to test the cleaner on a small portion of your shoe to make sure there will be no discoloration.
