Classic and endlessly comfortable–our iconic penny style is known to be the most comfortable, exceptionally made and detailed loafer out there. Handcrafted in El Salvador.

Our shoes are made from the highest quality leather which will last season after season. Leather is a natural material and will give with wear.

  • 100% long Italian haircalf (not shaved). This tannery is rated Leather Working Group Gold. Leather Working Group is a tool to evaluate the environmental performance of leather goods manufacturers.
  • 100% calf leather lined.
  • Gold plated coin.
  • Notched leather welt.
  • Padded leather footbed.
  • In an effort to be less wasteful and keep your shoes looking good, we applied a thin film to the sole. Please remove and recycle prior to making these yours. If you plan to return, please ensure film is in tact.
  • Fitting true to size.
  • Slip-on.
  • ELBA is the last used for this loafer. Learn more about lasts here.
  • 0.75" Leather stacked heel and sueded leather sole.

The ELBA is hand-sewn in our San Salvador, El Salvador, family factory. Our Co-Founder's grandfather started manufacturing shoes 67 years ago, and our hand-sewn Moccasins are produced in a factory that her father started in the 1980s. This factory is one of the last hand-sewn moccasin factories in the world—a true testament to artisanal craftsmanship and passing down this skill from generation to generation.

    I thought about these for a long time before I pulled the trigger. I’ve only wore them out once but I have to say they are very comfortable, stiff, but comfortable. As with most quality leather you need time in them to mold. I purchased to take on a trip to Germany / Spain this November so we’ll see how they do with more walking. So far I love. True to size.

    Beautiful shoes

    These loafers are beautiful and well made. Right now they are less comfortable as they need to break in, but I really like them and I’m sure they will get softer over time

    Absolutely love them! The quality is so beautiful and they are comfortable right out of the box. I am between a 9 and 9.5 and went with the 9 and they fit perfectly! I had been waiting to buy them and am so glad I pulled the trigger.
