Our raffia shoes are handwoven by a community of women in Spain. Raffia is a natural fiber derived from palm trees, which is lightweight, durable, and eco-friendly. We strongly recommend not letting your shoes get wet as they are highly water absorbent. Raffia naturally has slight stretch, and will form to your foot.

To clean, use a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt. If there is a stray row of raffia sticking out of the shoe, please use sharp scissors and simply snip in place. If your raffia shoes become wet, stuff them with tissue paper and leave them to dry naturally away from any direct heat or sunlight. Store your clean shoes in the original box making sure to stuff them with tissue paper or a shoe tree to keep their shape. We recommend cleaning periodically or as needed to keep your FRĒDAs looking brand new.
