Our shearlings are derived from lamb hides that have been ethically sourced and are a by-product of the food industry. Shearling is a breathable and naturally water-wicking material. With this characteristic, it is often used as lining and can be worn without socks. In areas prone to wear, such as the heel or lining of the shoe, the pile or thickness of the shearling will compress and eventually bald slightly from abrasion.

To clean, spot clean the affected area with a mild detergent and water mixture. Once you've cleaned the stain, roll the shearling in a large bath towel to absorb any liquid, and then let it air dry away from sunlight. We recommend cleaning periodically or as needed to keep your FRĒDAs looking brand new.
