ACE is handmade at our family-owned factory in the traditional footwear town of Elda, Spain. Our leather is sourced from the finest tanneries across Italy. Each upper is cut, sewn and lasted by Spanish artisans who are experts in their craft. Our components are developed and tested with neighboring factories in Elda, and perfected by FREDA’s design team in Sausalito. Every pair of the women's lace-up combat boot is hand finished down to the sole.

Our tumbled and smooth calf leathers are very high quality and should last for years. To keep the leather clean, moisturized, durable, and elastic, your shoes should be polished once a month. If excess dirt gets on your shoes, take a slightly damp soft cloth, paper towel, or clean makeup sponge and wipe gently. If the stain is tougher, try leather cleaner. Keep in mind, never use leather cleaner with acid or detergent as it will age the leather and shorten the lifespan of your shoes. Please test the cleaner on a small portion of your shoe to make sure there will be no discoloration. In general, it is also highly recommended to take your shoes to a cobbler to be professionally cleaned.
FRĒDA SALVADOR shoes are all handmade in Spain using the finest leathers. Because of this, each pair will have unique variations, we love this about our shoes and hope you do too. Depending on how often you wear your FRĒDAS, what kind of terrain you are walking on, and how hard you are on your shoes will factor into the longevity of your shoes.

- MNMichelle N.Verified Buyer5 months agoReviewingACE LACE UP BOOTRated 5 out of 5 starsThese were my wedding shoes :)
I planned a VERY fast turnaround wedding (like 8 days) and decided to wear nothing that has to do with wedding attire. I bought a sequins dress from Anthropologie for like $100 and decided to SPLURGE on the boots that I actually just really wanted. And it's my wedding. I can do what I want. So I bought the ACE boots. And I emailed their customer service team, and said...I need these pretty quickly. They got them out that day, and when I got them, the heavens shown down upon me. They fit PERFECTLY and were the absolute star of the show on my wedding day. I didn't even break them in, and they were so comfortable. Plus, they did pretty well in the blizzard that was also happening.
I love these boots. I love Freda. :)
- DDebbieVerified Buyer2 years agoReviewingACE LACE UP BOOTRated 4 out of 5 starsA modern take on prairie boots
I love the slim profile of this boot. It elongates the leg and has the retro, feminine vibe of a prairie boot. (Think “Little House on the Prairie”). But adds a modern edge with the silver studded accents at the laces and along the sole.
If you have a wide calf, where it cuts might not be flattering. Like most of Freda’s boots, these look best on thinner legs.
Overall, a unique boot that’s beautifully made.
- MMaggieVerified Buyer2 years agoReviewingACE LACE UP BOOTRated 4 out of 5 starsLovely boots - but the laces are fragile
I love love love these boots!
I had to try a couple of sizes before I found the right one for me, but that was all good... staff was helpful!'
One qualm with the boots is that the laces are fragile, looking like they are about to snap, and I haven't worn them out yet -- gorgeous, though.
I would appreciate it if the boots came with an extra pair, especially because of the price point.
Excited to wear, regardless!

I've been looking for elegant, feminine combat boots for years and have never found anything that fits the bill. Wow did Freda deliver with the ACE! They are so comfortable and well made yet have a subtle edge. I've never gotten more compliments on a pair of boots! Love love love!
- WWalkerVerified Buyer3 years agoReviewingACE LACE UP BOOTRated 1 out of 5 starsBrackets break immediately
Brackets ripped out after second wearing. Went to store on fillmore and was told to take them to a cobbler myself (??) or they could take them and it would take two weeks maybe more to fix. They were nearly new. The right course of action would be to take them back and give me a new pair in return. Way too expensive a boot for that kind of response.FSFREDA SALVADOR3 years agoWe are so sorry that this happened to your shoes. This is not typical of our shoes and does not represent the quality.
