Classic and endlessly comfortable–our iconic penny style is known to be the most comfortable, exceptionally made and detailed loafer out there. Handcrafted in El Salvador.

Our shoes are made from the highest quality leather which will last season after season. Leather is a natural material and will give with wear.

  • 100% Italian leather in hickory embossed croc. This tannery is rated Leather Working Group Gold. Leather Working Group is a tool to evaluate the environmental performance of leather goods manufacturers.

The ELBA is hand-sewn in our San Salvador, El Salvador, family factory. Our Co-Founder's grandfather started manufacturing shoes 67 years ago, and our hand-sewn Moccasins are produced in a factory that her father started in the 1980s. This factory is one of the last hand-sewn moccasin factories in the world—a true testament to artisanal craftsmanship and passing down this skill from generation to generation.

    Soooo comfy!

    Zero break-in required! Wore these right out of the box, for 5 miles, on a trip to Paris. I was initially a bit worried as they were rubbing my outer ankle bone but the shoes quickly molded to my feet and that issue resolved on day 1. I did have to buy a shoe horn to avoid smashing the back when putting them on. Really, could not love these more!

    There is absolutely no break in period for these loafers. They are true to size and incredibly comfortable. I just wore them for 8+ hours and I don’t have a single blister or sore spot.

    Perfection from the first step

    I’ve been wearing these just about everyday for 3 months now. They go with and elevate every outfit, they are SOOOO comfortable from day 1 and I will never not have a pair. This is my fourth pair of FS shoes and first loafer. I am just as in love with my FS boots. Probably my favorite shoe brand EVER.

    Perfection

    The quality and fit is incredible - I love the notched detail on the edge of the loafer. It’s so unique. Read about how leather loafers should fit - they should be tight, you’ll need a shoe horn which Freda provides, and then they very quickly start forming to your feet. I noticed even after my first wear how much they expanded. I bought thin trouser socks and used those the first several days, and on a cool day I could go without socks now. I bought low rise no show socks for the hot days. Don’t be scared that they are tight - I have wide feet and almost returned them thinking no way I could do this but then felt so much better after I read about how loafers start tight and then expand so much, which ended up being the case. I’m obsessed and I want more pairs!
