Our shoes are made from the highest quality leather which will last season after season. Leather is a natural material and will give with wear.
- 100% Italian leather in black embossed croc
- 100% rubber layer for enhanced durability
This material may feel snug when you first put them on. This is normal as they begin to soften and form to your foot. Before you know it, they will become your everyday favorite.
- Recommendation: PIPER is running true to size. If you in between sizes, we recommend sizing up.

Our croc and snake leathers are embossed and printed on a calf leather base. Thicker leather is required to create this embossing, making it more susceptible to peeling or chipping. Please handle with care as any damage cause to the print cannot be restored. Due to this technique, there may be variation in color and placement of the print. This variation is intentional and part of our sustainable ethos to avoid leather wastage.
To clean, gently wipe with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth and dry immediately away from direct heat and sunlight. Please test the cleaner on a small portion of your shoe to ensure no discoloration before applying all over. We advise against using any cleaning products, as they will damage the leather. We recommend cleaning periodically or as needed to keep your FRĒDAs looking brand new.

PIPER is handmade at our family-owned factory in the traditional footwear town of Elda, Spain. Our leather is sourced from the finest tanneries across Italy. Each upper is cut, sewn and lasted by Spanish artisans who are experts in their craft. Our components are developed and tested with neighboring factories in Elda, and perfected by FREDA’s design team in Sausalito.

The PIPER SANDAL is beautiful and well made but I found that it ran big on me. I am usually a EU 40 so I ordered a 10(my foot is on the wide side) which turned out to be way too big. I exchanged it for a 9 , which was better but I have each buckle on the last hole. I probably could have gone with an 8 but I was nervous about the overall length and didn't want take the chance they'd be too short.

I tell you that I've found Freda Salvador shoes to be such high quality and comfortable AND incredibly unique and stylish, that I don't really buy anywhere else anymore. Yes- I will buy from ME+EM, because they're also incredible and match my style, but dang- these shoes...each pair fits so beautifully. For almost every Freda shoe, I'm consistently a size 8.5. This is my standard size in most places, and Freda doesn't throw any roadblocks up in their sizing (in my experience). I have this sandal in colors because they're so comfortable. I can't wait for the next drop!
